Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends and Families,
It looks like we may be finally getting back to some sort of normality.
So as long as we continue to follow the guidelines and protect each other, we can have some confidence that the next football season may run smoothly.
Despite a challenging year for us all, the Club remains in good shape and is well prepared for the 21-22 season.
It continues to grow as we welcome new players, managers and coaches, but to continue this growth we now need to also welcome more volunteers to join the committee.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and play your part if coaching is not your forte!
I have been on the committee for over 15 years and have found it very rewarding, but now is the time for new faces with new skills to come forward and start to take up the reigns. Most of our other senior committee members have held their positions for over 5 years.
We all originally got involved as our kids were players, but now our kids are not kids anymore. Many of these kids have gone on to become coaches themselves.
The current senior committee is not planning on leaving this year, but would like to use the next season as an opportunity to build a new team, with more representatives from younger age groups while being fully supported by current committee members.
You will need to commit some time to any role; however these positions can suit people from all walks of life who may have limited time to give, while other roles may require more availability.
Please speak to your manager, give Secretary Paula a call 07968878186 or drop her an email p.merridue@yahoo.co.uk to discuss roles further.
We hope to hold our AGM in June, where we will be able to vote people into their new roles.
We look forward to hearing from you
Mark Spence
Chairman
