Code of Conduct

The league has requested that we bring to the attention of all parents a Code of Conduct. Please take time to read it and ensure you strive to comply with it for the benefit of both players and the club.

Membership Fees and Subscriptions

In order for your child to play in the League and to be covered by insurance, it is necessary to be a Member of the Club. To do this, we need to have received your completed Application of Membership and your annual fee. No form and fee - NO PLAY.

Please ensure that your training subs are paid weekly as it detracts from training if the manager has to chase up outstanding subs

Time Keeping

Can you please try and get your children to training in good time. Too many players are arriving during or after the warm up. These exercises are very important to reduce the occurrences of injury during training especially as few children are doing any strenuous exercise during the week. Coaches should lead by example and always be there in good time to prepare any equipment needed and to be able to start on time.

Footwear, Shin Pads and Jewellery

Some children are turning up with incorrect footwear, poorly fitting shin pads or even no shin pads at all. Your child is at serious risk of injury unless they are properly turned out and the coaches will have to prevent them from training. Football boots are essential when pitches are wet and astro turf trainers (dimpled gripped soles) are needed when the ground is hard and dry. Running shoes , velcro trainers and plimsolls are not acceptable. Shin pads must be junior size and fit properly. They should be held in place with football socks and not ankle socks. Jewellery must not be worn during training or matches.

Players Wearing Glasses

The FA acknowledges that a number of young people who need glasses to play the game may be being excluded if it was considered that wearing normal glasses is dangerous. There are specialist sports glasses which are approved by FIFA.

Free FA Soccer Parent Course

The FA are currently offering a free online training course called Soccer Parent. Soccer Parent is a course that is available to anybody that registers with the FA learning - The FA education Provider. Everyone that completes the course and achieves the pass mark can immediately print off an accredited certificate directly from the website.

Volunteers Please

Firstly as some may have noticed the under 7’s and under 6’s are growing in number every week. Although this is fantastic for the club the poor old coaches do have a look of panic on their faces as more and more players turn up weekly. So here is your chance to help out. Please speak to the manager to help.

Parking

Please can we all show some extra consideration when parking around the schools either on training or match days as we have received a few complaints from the local residents. The fact of the matter is if they were to complain to the school, council or the police any of them could stop us using the pitches and that could mean no ground, no football and no club. So please remember not to obstruct any driveways and please don’t park on any grass verges

Parent Reps

Every team should have a parent rep. The rep can talk to the coaches on behalf of the parents and can attend committee meetings. It kind of defeats the purpose if the coaches have to ask a parent to be the rep. Could all the parents please arrange between yourselves so there is a rep for each team
